Countries and cultures are what make people unique. Each country has different cultural activities and cultural rituals. Culture is seen in peoples writing, religion, music, clothes and cooking.
Culture also includes the way people understand the world and their own lives.Different countries have different cultures. for example, some older Japanese people wear kimonos, arrange flowers in vases and have tea ceremonies.
My family is from the Cook islands! In my culture we like to ride motorbikes and dance. My favorite kind of food in raro is taro.

The Commonwealth games known as the friendly games has a unique place in sporting history. It is an international multi sport event like the Olympics, but the athletes are from commonwealth countries. This includes countries like England,New zealand and the pacific island.
The first Commonwealth games were held in 1930 Hamilton,Canada. Eleven countries sent four hundred athletes to take part in six sports and fifty nine events. Since then the games have been every four years. However in Nineteen forty two and Nineteen forty six the games were cancelled because of the second world war.
The event has had many changes, even its name. From nineteen thirty to ninety fifty the games were known as the British empire games. Later , from ninety seventy to ninety seventy four they took the title off the british commonwealth games. Finally, at the the ninety seventy eight games in Edmonton,Canada this multi sport event changed its name to the Commonwealth games.
