Methane gas is the gas being produced by large rubbish landfills?

When landfills are left alone the gas leaks into the ground and into the air!

These are two ways of dealing with methane gas buildups!

                      1.Burn it of as waste

                      2.Use it as fuel!

methane gas could power nine thousand homes with electricity!

A  land above a landfill can be reused as a new golf course or new sports ground!

Duffy recount story!

W.A.L.T: Write a recount about "The Duffy show".

On Monday Room’s seven, six and eight were getting ready for the “ The Duffy show”. Incase you didn’t know the duffy show is a group of people who are actors! They basically act out a play that encourages people to enjoy reading! There were characters named Duffy, Siaena  the librarian and many more!

  

When we were lined our teachers knew that we were ready to go! As we walked into the hall we tried to squeeze everybody into two lines and we successfully did! When everybody was walking in, two of the actresses came out and played simon says with us to buy some time for the people that were still coming in.

                     

While playing simon says Duffy ran down to the stage and the show started!.! They opened the show with a heartfelt song called “The Duffy song”.  At the start when they introduced themselves  It was really hard to remember their names  because we would know them as a character from the play.   

My favourite  part of the play is when Terry the garden fairy was singing “Tinka tinka tinka tinka la la Tinka tinka tinka la la “. It was hilarious. Everyone was laughing and having a great time.

The Duffy show was an amazing experience. I felt good because the  actors made me feel good about reading.  I do hope Duffy does come back! Thanks for reading my  Writing!


The Duffy show is a group of people that are actors. They act out plays to encourage kids and teachers to read. Well on Monday Pt england students had the oppurtunity to watch them and they were really. Hopefully other schools can enjoy it like we did.

This is a presentation that me and my 2 partners have created. We had to get 2 colours of cubes that equalised up to 6! So basically 4 yellow cubes and 2 purple or 3 black and 3 white. 

Whitebait fritters!

Walt: We are learning to follow the instructions and Whitebait fritter!


This presentation is about Whitebait fritters! I am explaning how Whitebait gets caught and how people have eaten it past the years. And How it is transfered to supermarkets. I have learned that Whitebait is really hard to find but if you fish in the right places then you actually might find some. Mr Goodwin gave us the task to follow the instuctions and make the slides look pretty without colouring in the background but adding detail.

Holiday writing!

W.A.L.T: Write a recount about my holiday!

Inflatable world is a fun place with big boxing gloves and massive bouncy castles and it is for all ages. Isn’t that cool. In the holidays I went with my two cousins, two auntys and my little brother.

So heres what had happened we were just sitting home the other day so bored. Then my aunty said “ Tomorrow lets go to INFLATABLE WORLD!”. Suddenly the room was filled yes or yea or why and many more words. But after a couple of minutes the decision was final we were going!

When we arrived my little brother was running around with excitement saying “ lets go lets go”. So we went inside paid first…. then went and played on the bouncy castles and climbed up the wall of rocks known as a climbing wall. It was a really exciting, fantastic, amazingly totally spectacular day.
